Nothing Basic about this Pumpkin Patch!
In the fall, Wendel's Poultry Farm in East Concord, NY transforms itself into a family friendly pumpkin patch! It offers a homey and budget friendly environment for all to enjoy during the season.
When my sister asked if I would be interested in going to a pumpkin patch at poultry farm, I was a little apprehensive. Those thoughts still crossed my mind all the way there, but disappeared as soon as I saw the piles of pumpkins and festive decorations all around.
What you can do here:
Popcorn and Delicious Apple Cider
Hayrides with Wanda the Witch
If you are there on the weekend, definitely take advantage of the hayride. The ride will take you through decorated woods, corn stalks and finish by passing some barnyard animals. (Weekends ONLY /Price is $3 for adults)
Before heading out I highly recommend grabbing yourself a chicken dinner. The dinner will run you around $11 and includes 1/2 a chicken, 2 homemade sides & a dinner roll.
"I've never devoured a chicken like that before"
Masks are to be worn at all times (shh.. we snuck them off for a couple photos while away from other families)
Only a couple of people are allowed inside the small shop at a time
Enter and exit flows are in place
Sanitizer can be found all around
The picnic tables have buckets full of cleaning supplies
For the hayrides, limited amount of people per ride and families are spread apart
Circle markings are on the ground to indicate where to stand while waiting in line
